| BRIDGES: After-School / mentoring program |
* Our main goal and objective is to provide children with a safe and
supervised environment, during a time when they might engage in
anti-social and destructive behaviors.
* Provide enriching experiences that broaden children's views and goals
and improve their socialization skills
* It is important to improve the academic scores of students who are not
accomplishing as much as they need to during the regular school
hours
* We will offer children academic home-work assistance, tutorial
assistance in: Math, English, Reading, & Science. The children can
also engage in safe and healthy sports activities.
* Access to a Computer Lab where they can do research, type papers
and reports and use the Internet with adult supervision at all times.
* Mentoring for the Boys / Girl will be available on a one-to-one basis.
Talking and sharing with the children about their goals, dreams, and
aspirations.
