We offer Basic Introduction To Computer Classes to the Church and Community.
This 7 Week Course teaches the student basic computer applications. Participants
will acquire the basic computer skills necessary to operate and work in Windows XP.
Participants are introduced to Basic Word Processing where by they become
familiar with the basic concepts and skills in keyboarding, text editing, creating
documents. All participants are required to type a basic business style letter before
finishing class.
We also introduce instructions to finding information on the World Wide Web and
sending and receiving (Electronic) E-Mail. Students set up individual e-mail
accounts and create there very own e-mail addresses.
The class is offered currently on Monday & Friday mornings, and Monday & Friday
evenings.
The class is made up adults who want to obtain basic computer skills. As a result of
the training, participants are able to make an informed decision about purchasing a
computer for home or business use. The skills that they learn can be used to help
them obtain better jobs and compete for jobs that normally they would not qualify
for.
Participants can obtain one-to-one instruction and help from the instructor at
anytime during the class.
